As smooth as I think this year went I know that things can always be made better. I have had an idea that I am going to incorporate into next years season but I am always looking for new thoughts. If anyone has one please either use the forum or email me with it.
The idea that was brought forth was for the semi finals. Instead of going 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 and the winners movin on we are going to do it a little different. To make the playoff seeding have a little more value what we are going to do is this:
1 vs 2
3 vs 4
The loser of 1 vs 2 will play the winner of 3 vs 4 for a chance to get into the final. The losing team will be out 1 game but I dont think that will make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. This will give the top two teams two chances to get into the final.
Anyways, like I said I am always trying to get new ideas to the front as I want to make this the most fun league that you guys play in.

What about a best of 5 series for the playoffs?
Top regular season team plays 4th place..best of 5 while 2nd and 3rd play each other. Winners meet in a best of 5 finals while the 2 losers meet in a best of 5 for 3rd place?
'Best of' series would feel more exciting.. only difference would be.. if both series end up going 5 games then we'd end up playing 2 more games than the 8 games we played in this years playoffs.

I have had the "best of series" thrown out there but the only thing that I am worried about is "bad blood". Some of the games that we had this year were a little tense at times. If it spills over into other games it might cause more greif. But I will bring it up at the next time all the GM's are together.
