I'm just putting this out there for all to see, the league needs to make some changes for Mings Wings.
Ming and Kevin are doing all they can to keep morale high and to ice a competitive team, including bringing spares when possible. But this team simply is not competitive with the rest of the league. They are doing the best job they can.
There is a 3 way tie for 1st with 23 points followed by us in last at 9 points. We are dead last in goals for and goals against, both by a large margin. We started the season with 2w and 1 loss. We have since gone 2-15. There are times where games are closer than the scoreboard shows, but most of these losses aren't even close. The stats speak for themselves here.
In the dressing room there are guys talking about quitting, guys actively looking for people to replace them, guys not showing up. Who wants to drag themselves to the rink in the cold when they know they're going to get their assess kicked?
I've said to both Kevin and Ming that we should start bringing a room full of spares to every single game. I'd much rather forfeit every game for the rest of the season and ice a competitive team than continue getting blown out game after game. At least we'll have some fun losing that way. |
